Culture and Relationship Coordinator

In her role as Culture and Relationship Coordinator, Lisl enjoys getting to work with students from all of our programmes and staff across many departments.  She is responsible for curating and nurturing an internal and external culture for Laidlaw that is in line with the College’s mission and vision and that represents who we are as a Christian community.  You might find her chatting with students in the atrium, knocking on staff office doors getting them to volunteer for another project, collaborating on College resources for the community, helping lead chapels, hanging out at the Manukau campus, writing copy for the Comms team, and generally being a bit of a cheerleader for both staff and students.

Lisl completed her undergraduate degree in Political Science at the University of Ottawa and her Master of Arts in Theological Studies at Regent College before working as an Assistant Pastor at a community church in Vancouver, BC.  She has always loved learning from and with people of other cultures and is intrigued by different languages and how they capture and express ideas in a variety of ways.  Lisl loves making connections with people from different backgrounds, across disciplines, throughout the grand story of Scripture and our lives, between denominations and ways of worshiping, and through different seasons of life and growth.  As a Canadian she feels very honoured to have been welcomed into the Laidlaw community to do good work in the world ‘for such a time as this’.
