The Ven. Dr Lyndon Drake (Ngāti Kuri, Ngāi Tahu)
The Ven Dr Lyndon Drake serves as Archdeacon of Tāmaki Makaurau in the Māori Anglican bishopric of Te Tai Tokerau. Lyndon has recently completed a DPhil in Theology at Oxford on economic capital in the Hebrew Bible/Old Testament, and has degrees in science and commerce (Auckland), a PhD in computer science (York), two other degrees in theology (Oxford), and a number of peer-reviewed academic publications in science and theology. Lyndon has written *Capital Markets for the Common Good: A Christian Perspective* (Oxford: 2017, Oxford Centre for Enterprise, Markets, and Ethics). Until 2010, Lyndon was a Vice President at Barclays Capital, trading government bonds and interest-rate derivatives. Since then, he has served in church ministry, as well as teaching theology and serving in a range of Christian leadership roles. He sits on a number of boards, including as chair of Te Whare Ruruhau o Meri Trust Board, and is married to Miriam with three children.
Anameka Paenga (Te Whānau-a-Apanui, Te Whakatōhea, Ngāi Tai)
Language exponent, academic, education specialist, and renowned kapa haka composer and performer, Anameka is a recognised leader within all of her chosen fields of work. As a longtime performer and leader within Ōpōtiki-mai-Tawhiti and Te Kapa Haka o Te Whānau-a-Apanui, her passion for teaching led her to develop and lead undergraduate and postgraduate performing arts programmes at Te Whare Wānanga o Awanuiarangi. A graduate of Te Panekiretanga o Te Reo, she continues to teach and advocate for Te Reo Māori at the highest levels. In more recent years she has transitioned into educational leadership roles with NZQA and Te Wānanga o Aotearoa, ensuring that both the educational outcomes for Māori students and programmes are of the highest quality. A proponent of Māori philosophy and teaching pedagogy, she received First Class Honours for her Master of Arts thesis titled Karangaranga te muri. She is currently the Tumuaki | Co-Principal at Te Wānanga Ihorangi, a faith-based te reo Māori language school based in Henderson, Auckland.
Rev. Te Karere Scarborough (Ngāpuhi, Ngāti Hauā)
Community educator and whānau advocate, Te Karere Scarborough has spent his career in the community-wellbeing and arts sectors. He worked for 15 years with Parenting Place, and held a variety of roles there that included leading the Attitude Programme for Schools, National Young Leaders’ Day, Toolbox, and Building Awesome Whānau and Space programmes. He is currently the Tumuaki | Co-Principal at Te Wānanga Ihorangi, a faith-based te reo Māori language school based in Henderson, Auckland. Alongside this, he is excitedly completing his Masters in Chaplaincy through the University of Otago.
Andy Shudall
Andy hails from Liverpool, he and his wife arrived in New Zealand with their three kids in 2005. Studying for a Bachelor of Divinity in St Andrews University, Scotland, was followed by 22 years in student ministry he then answered a call to serve as Senior Pastor at Titirangi Baptist in West Auckland in 2015. Recently, a new chapter opened when he was called to lead Eastgate Christian Centre, Pakuranga and Te Kauwhata. Andy’s experience extends internationally through IFES ministry and with Langham Preaching in Vanuatu and Fiji.
